Mohammad Yeasin Al Fahad

Mohammad Yeasin Al Fahad is a founding member of IqraX, where he works on the backend systems and architecture the platform runs on. A senior software engineer with 5+ years building APIs and services for web and mobile applications, he specializes in designing scalable, reliable systems and has repeatedly grown from individual contributor into a backend lead. He currently engineers backend systems at Gen (Gen Digital, the company behind Norton, Avast and LifeLock) in Kuala Lumpur.

Before Gen, he spent over two years at MoneyLion as a Backend Engineer II in R&D, part of the engineering team behind the MoneyLion × MrBeast “Beast Games” giveaway, a launch that briefly made MoneyLion the #1 finance app in the U.S. and earned a Cannes Lions shortlist. Earlier he was a backend software engineer at Wavelet Solutions in Selangor for nearly three years, took on freelance engineering through Upwork, and got his start at Skyhive, where within two months he was put in charge of the backend team for a clinic-management system, owning its architecture and delivery.

He holds a Bachelor of Computer Science in Software Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, graduating in 2022 with a 3.98 CGPA and a place on the Dean's List in every semester. A serial hackathon winner during his studies (taking Startup Weekend and the CreativePreneur ArTech hackathon, and reaching the top 7 of 143 teams at Malaysia's University Startup Challenge), his work centers on backend architecture, microservices, scalable APIs and databases. At IqraX, he builds the backend, APIs and system architecture that the platform depends on.
